Summary / Role Purpose

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory or set of accounts, and is responsible for maximizing sales profitability, revenue growth and account penetration. The role sells products and services directly to end users primarily via face-to-face contact.  The senior level role may be responsible for a larger territory, account base and/or quota.

 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Performs sales activities for New and Renewal business for an assigned geographic area, set of accounts or product/service line to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives

  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business and secure renew business for the organization’s products and services
  • Creates and conducts sales presentations to match company's products/services with identified  customers’ needs. Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services
  • Sells products/services through telephone as well as face-to-face contact
  • Remains knowledgeable  on Semiconductor industry and company's product/service . and keeps abreast of the company's new and existing products/services to facilitate sales efforts
  • Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
  • Creates and maintains account plans for existing customers highlighting profile, share , value opportunities, account strategy, resource and  action plan.
  • Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting and technical services ,  R&D and Business Unit management
  • Maintains sales records and prepares sales reports as required
  • Manage and provides accurate pipeline & forecasts report for new sales and renewal revenues
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions; schedules training and seminars to enhance new business opportunities

 

Maintains regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction

  • Maintains a regular schedule of contact via phone/on-site visits
  • Alerts client to new or improved products/services
  • Develops relationships with clients  at all level
  • Relays client feedback to product development and service staff

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or bachelor’s degree with technical sales experience
  • Minimum 5 years direct sales and large enterprise account management experience with a proven track record of success
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering analysis  , technology  and Semiconductor industry know-how & design flow.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Minimum travel of 50%
  • Fluent in English in reading , writing and speaking

  • Demonstrated knowledge of company's products/services and pricing practices
  • Knowledge of the Semiconductor industry , competition
  • Proven/documented sales ability
  • Professional appearance and presentation
  • Working experience in a multinational EDA company is a plus .
  • A test may be required to evaluate the knowledge and experience on Semiconductor industry
