As an Electronics Simulation Research and Development Intern, you will join a team responsible for the R&D of state-of-the-art electromagnetics, circuit and system simulators.This is a 40-hour per week paid position, starting January 2026 and concluding April 2026. This position is based in the Waterloo, ON office where the intern is expected to be on site in a flex capacity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Specify and write test cases, creates, modify and update existing tests, write and maintain test scripts
- Perform functional, application, regression and performance testing in manual and/or automated test environments and investigate possible causes of problems
- Create test plans, participate in defect management and testing metrics
- Apply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processes
- Work in a variety of computing environments: Windows, Linux, VM’s, Compute Clusters, Cloud
Minumum and Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Pursuing MS degree in Aerospace, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning for at least one semester/term after the conclusion of the internship.
- Technical knowledge and experience with Mechanical Thermal Analysis
- Expereince with scripting languages such as Python
- Experience in a large-scale commercial software testing and verification environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team
