Location: Villeurbanne, FR, 69100

Company: Ansys

Stage de fin d'études basé à Lyon en génie mécanique / modélisation, début du stage prévu entre juillet et septembre 2024, durée du stage: 6 mois

Context:

ANSYS DPF is a numerical simulation framework software developed by ANSYS Inc. It offers a large range of multi-physics tools enabling the customer to pre and post process complex models under real life conditions.

The intern will become part of the Data Processing Framework team.

Goals:

During this internship, the student will work on the PyDPF open-source Python libraries, part of the PyAnsys projects and aimed at exposing Ansys simulation data manipulation capabilities to the Python community. The intern will design and implement unit-tests as well as validation cases, and also create examples based on real-life simulation use-cases and user requests, specifically for mechanical simulation post-processing workflows. The intern will also propose improvements to the user-experience when using the libraries, based on the intern’s own usage and the targeted workflows.

Candidate profile:

The student should be in his last year of master’s degree in mechanics, applied mathematics or general engineering.

An appetite in computer sciences would be appreciated, as well as an ability to understand mechanical simulation and the mathematics involved in those. Good level required in Python.
