SUMMARY
The R&D Verification Engineer II joins Ansys EBU to conduct software testing, such as Maxwell 2D/3D of applications. This role assesses how well the product meets customer needs both in terms of functionality and usability and ensures that product requirements and quality standards are satisfied. The role works closely with other members of the product teams and communicates with technical specialists on product issues. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Specify and create test cases, modify and update existing tests, write and maintain test scripts  
  • Perform functional, application, regression and performance testing in manual and/or automated test environments and investigate possible root causes of problems
  • Apply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processes​
  • Work in a variety of computing environments, e.g. Windows, Linux, Virtual Machine, Compute Clusters, Cloud

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 2 years of experience, or MS degree with no experience
  • Technical knowledge and experience with electromagnetics, electric motors, power electronics
  • Technical knowledge and experience with Ansys product portfolio, especially Ansys Electronics Desktop or Ansys Workbench
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting language, such as Python, xml, JavaScript

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with electromagnetics simulation tools
  • Familiarity with analysis tools, such as Ansys Maxwell is a plus
  • Experience in a large-scale commercial software testing and verification environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems
