WebGL-Based Traffic Simulator & Scenario Creation

We are seeking a talented and innovative individual for an internship focused on developing a cutting-edge WebGL-based Traffic Simulator and Scenario Creation tool. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a vital internal tool linked to multiple ANSYS applications, enabling the validation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) functions by OEMs and tier-1 suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on existing driving simulators, with a particular focus on open-source standards such as ASAM OpenScenario and OpenDrive.
• Path Creation Tool: Develop a user-friendly path creation tool within a ThreeJS scene, allowing vehicles to follow defined routes.
• ASAM Standards Integration: Implement import/export functionality into ASAM standards, ensuring seamless interoperability with industry-standard formats.
• Traffic Management System: Design and integrate a sophisticated traffic management system capable of trajectory following and obstacle avoidance, enhancing the realism of simulations.
• Integration with AVX Simulator API: Synchronize the traffic management layer with the AVX simulator API, ensuring smooth communication and interaction between components.
• User Interface Development: Create intuitive UI elements and their corresponding backend components, enabling users to load project packages containing all necessary simulation elements.
• Innovation and Creativity: Embrace unconventional ideas and innovative approaches. Your creativity and out-of-the-box thinking are highly valued in our innovation-driven environment.

Required Skills:

• Python/Flask: Proficiency in Python and Flask framework for backend development, ensuring the robustness and functionality of the simulation tool.
• React/TS: Strong skills in React and TypeScript for front-end development, creating dynamic and responsive user interfaces.
• Redux: Experience with Redux for state management, ensuring efficient handling of application state and data flow.
• ThreeJS: In-depth knowledge of ThreeJS for WebGL-based 3D graphics, enabling the creation of immersive and visually appealing simulation environments.
• Version Control: Proficient in Git version control system for collaborative and organized development.
• gRPC Protobuf: Familiarity with gRPC protocol buffers for seamless communication and data exchange between components.
