Summary / Role Purpose

This 6-month fixed-term position is to be filled within the R&D engineering team responsible for developing the compilers, code generators and formal program analysis tools of the Ansys solution for producing mission-critical embedded software.

As part of a team of around ten people, you will be involved in developing the core of the new development environment that Ansys is making available to its customers. This new solution is a continuation of SCADE, which has been used for over 20 years in the aeronautics, aerospace, rail, nuclear and automotive industries, and wherever software quality is crucial to human safety.

Developments are performed mainly in OCaml for the core and in Python for certain peripheral elements.

In addition, you will be in contact with other teams working on the product: validation and testing teams, product management teams, etc.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Specification, design, and development of core tools (code generator, …)
  • Documentation of the developed software

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • PhD or Master in computer science
  • Experience with functional languages (preferably OCaml) and imperative languages
  • Experience with compiler techniques
  • English (reading/writing)

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with LaTeX or Sphinx
  • Experience with synchronous languages (Scade, Lustre, Esterel, …)
  • Experience with embedded systems design
  • Experience with modeling and simulation of physical systems
