The Japan Senior Field Marketing Specialist will develop and execute on plans to drive increased adoption of Ansys automotive solutions in Japan. This position will work closely with other automotive industry marketing managers located in the USA, EMEA, and Asia and with the APAC Automotive Sales and Engineering teams to develop the industry strategy, marketing message, supporting content and marketing plan, as well as contribute to the pipeline generation by executing Account Based Marketing for the top Automotive accounts in Japan. The primary objective of the role is demand generation through successful campaign execution and understanding of key industry trends, strategic market opportunities and sales priorities.



  • Develop and execute the automotive industry market strategy and business plan and review progress on it with an internal stakeholder
  • Work closely with Sales team to capture key customer needs
  • Analyze automotive industry business performance, identify new market opportunities, and develop plans to increase penetration and growth
  • Develop marketing programs and supporting materials, and use the web to effectively drive promotion, and share best practices with the USA, APAC, and EMEA
  • Produce articles, technical papers, and user stories in support of automotive industry
  • Work directly with sales teams in support of key sales opportunities and with key customers to drive product and solution adoption
  • Strategize with account managers to increase account penetration and build best practices for effectively increasing sales worldwide
  • Provide support outside of Japan to Ansys offices to expand their automotive business
  • Update account strategies in Japan by reflecting customers’ needs and workflow knowledge gained through customer visits.
  • Use digital to drive value proposition for accounts thus helping build awareness, perception, interest and loyalty
  • Success metrics building and monitoring for ensuring successful ABM execution
  • Monitor lead flow within the accounts to ensure the appropriate sales channels are receiving and following up on leads by creating local reports and dashboards in Salesforce.com.
  • Plan and manage program budget, measures ROI of ABM marketing tactics through metrics analysis and reporting
  • Deployment of activities such as account specifics seminars, webinars, developing landing pages to maximize success metrics



  • 10-12 years of professional work experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of and experience (5+ years) in automotive industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to engage with internal and external audiences on technical and business conversations
  • Proven ability to work in a cross-functional team including sales and Pre-sales engineering teams
  • Strong analytical orientation, attention to details, ability to work in a cross-functional team
  • Strong customer focus, business acumen is essential
  • Ability to understand ANSYS’ technical offering and to develop strategies to realize opportunities through the offering
  • Have experience of Salesforce, cloud marketing tool or a similar tool
  • Strong project and vendor management skills with demonstrated ability to deliver on-time and on-budget
  • Solid written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation communication skills
  • Business level written and verbal in English (TOEIC 850 or above preferable)



  • Engineering background in control system/ mechanical / electronics / computer science / industrial engineering is an advantage
  • An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience in B2B and B2C demand generation environment preferred
  • Digital marketing experience such as social media marketing, SEO, webpage development, digital content development
  • Experience in Account based marketing or account management at B2B software vendors
  • CRM and Marketing Automation systems to successfully run campaigns
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving and negotiations skills.
  • Analytical skill to understand marketing and sales data and business data.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
