Summary / Role Purpose

​The Channel Analyst II will work closely with global channel recruitment & development and the global channel management team to operationalize go-to-market (GTM) strategy and channel programs. This position is responsible for analyzing in-depth channel GTM metrics, as well as preparing quarterly analysis (related to the new 8Q business process) for inactive accounts, new product introduction effectiveness, portfolio sales and channel rep productivity. The role will also be responsible for the development and distribution of metrics related to white space analysis and potential growth area identification needed to recruit channel partners and persuade existing partners to expand. A successful Channel Analyst will operationalize an opportunity-based perspective across the global channel team.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operationalize channel programs to increase channel sales productivity and drive new business growth:​
  • Evaluate analytics and data related to inactive accounts, 8Q new business rule, transaction sizes, portfolio sales, channel rep productivity, new logo sales, channel discount analysis, new product sales, renewal rates, and channel incentive effectiveness​.
  • Define and develop channel program dashboard metrics and assist sales analyst team in collecting and analyzing channel related data​.
  • Develop predictive analytics and methodology related to identifying and prioritizing prospects with high propensity to buy and share with channel managers globally​.
  • Prepare customized / standardized analysis for executives and sales leaders​.
  • White Space Analysis:​
    • Collect, analyze, evaluate, and organize company and industry data in support of channel expansion and recruitment initiatives globally​.
    • Prepare customized and standardized analytics and share with channel recruitment and channel management teams​.
  • Quota Planning / Administration:​
    • Assist channel team in data management related to channel partner territory changes and GTM/segmentation efforts​.
    • Assist channel organization in analyzing historical revenue data. ​
  • Annual Channel Partner Goal setting and Contract: ​Work with channel management and channel operations in creating, developing and reviewing channel partner annual sales plans

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related area of study such as finance or math​
  • Years of Experience: 2+ years of work experience in quantitative modeling, sales/channel operations, or sales strategy ​
  • Demonstrated proficiency analyzing large amounts of data, extracting insights and making recommendations based on the results. ​

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with sales coverage models, quota setting and territory alignment​
  • Experience designing and building complex data models​
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills​.
  • Ability to multi-task while managing deadlines, perform well under pressure, work independently and as a part of a team​.
  • Good business acumen and awareness of business trends​
  • Experience working with Channel / Sales Teams a plus​
