Summary / Role Purpose

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) of the N&R (New client acquisition & Dormant reactivation) Team is tasked with maximizing company revenues by overseeing whitespace sales activities. The major responsibility is to increase the number of clients in the areas of new client acquisition and dormant reactivation through various tactics including market intelligence, very targeted outbound & strategic inbound, digital tactics, close collaboration with our Marketing/Field sales team, and strategic engagement with partners/market influencers. The role includes building and optimizing the team, developing long-term/short-term strategies, and prioritizing key initiatives for customer success. A successful Regional Sales Manager empowers their team to take ownership of their work and inspires excellence in others.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the N&R Team within a designated geographic area, set of accounts, or product/service line to optimize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
  • Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams, incorporating market intelligence and insights into the planning process.
  • Develops comprehensive strategies for whitespace penetration and reactivation, creating specific plans to ensure revenue growth across all company products and services.
  • Collaborates closely with the Marketing, Field Sales organizations, and business partners to leverage collective strengths, ensuring cohesive and effective sales efforts.
  • Coordinates appropriate company resources to guarantee efficient and consistent sales.
  • Conducts in-depth, long-range studies of changes in sales and strategies, considering market trends, competitor analysis, and emerging opportunities.
  • Directs, coaches, develops, rewards, motivates, and assesses N&R Team members.
  • Provides education to the N&R team on effective sales techniques and tactics, integrating market intelligence.
  • Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams, incorporating market intelligence.
  • Establishes and manages effective programs and seminars, in collaboration with Marketing, Field Sales, and business partners, addressing various sales-related issues:​
    • New account sales growth​
    • Growth in existing customers’ whitespace area
    • Sales of new and emerging products/services​
    • Pro-active competitive strategies and targeted sales campaigns​

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Education & Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree in technical, engineering, business or related field with 8+ years of experience of demonstrated success in technical sales positions OR 12+ years of experience demonstrated success in technical sales positions.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and ability to motivate and inspire a team​.
  • Ability to forecast, estimate revenue and profit trends​.
  • Strong understanding of industry cycles and regulations
  • Fluent in English and in the local language of the territory
  • Travel: up to 50%

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Master’s degree or MBA 
  • Management experience
  • High level of knowledge of company's products/services, pricing practices, and selling skills.
