SUMMARY

The primary function of this position is to achieve sales plan on a global basis and help grow ANSYS business in a sustainable way. The objectives are accomplished by creating partner relationships for the distribution of ANSYS software. This role will be responsible for working with existing partners and creating new ones. This role is also responsible for creating regional strategies for partner coverage.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for selling ANSYS solutions through partners on a global scale while owning the sales plan
  • Check out partners’ enablement status and progress investigating capacity and capability
  • Building partner strategy for better management through the suggestion of award and reward structure
  • Gain access and manage partner relationships with senior level executives
  • Provide accurate and timely forecast, including forecast dashboard and forward 3 quarters pipeline
  • Working collaboratively with partner principals to plan and execute on contracts
  • Working cross-functionally with internal ANSYS departments such as legal, finance and Business Development Team
  • Creates and conducts sales presentations to match company's products/services with identified needs; identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services
  • Sells products/services through telephone as well as face-to-face contact
  • Research sources for developing prospective partners and for information to determine their potential
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective partners
  • Creates and maintains account plans for existing partners highlighting profile, share and value opportunities
  • Provides accurate forecasts for new sales and renewal revenues


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Deep understanding of partner structure, strategy and program
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or business discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of successful sales, key accounts, and a proven track record of success
  • Experience in negotiating sales contracts with key accounts
  • Must be able to communicate well with C-level executives at partners
  • Must be able to quickly identify issues, communicate to management, and recommend solutions
  • Strong analytical, planning, coaching and communication skills
  • Travel 50%+ required


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience of working at the company handling engineering S/W
  • Strong sales and business acumen
  • Demonstrated awareness and understanding of engineering design processes, and of how PLM / simulation tools are deployed in manufacturing and process industries
