The Account Manager is responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned set of named accounts, and is responsible for meeting sales - new business as well as run rate - and growth targets set for assigned named accounts by developing and implementing specific plans to fulfill ANSYS’ visions for the customers, and enabling success for them - productivity, innovation, top and bottom line growth. Account managers must understand customer environment, their business priorities, their business and technical needs, build and present a solution vision and gain executive level sponsorship, develop and propose appropriate solutions, gain the purchasing commitment and manage the ongoing business relationship with the customers



● Responsible for assigned set of named accounts. 

● 5 Year experiences of sizable named account Sales

● Engineering education background and fluent industries knowledge

● Understanding of Sales process in Enterprise account.

● Fluent target accounts sales skill

● Develop, maintain, and implement account plans that contain strategies and action plans for maximizing account revenues.

● Meet new business, run rate and services quota goals for the assigned accounts

● Formulate strategies for building and growing the accounts and maximize their potential value to ANSYS

● Collaborate globally with account teams, product specialists, other functions within ANSYS, remote (direct/indirect) sites, and business partners to ensure a synergistic, companywide approach to the account



● BS Degree or equivalent

● Minimum bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or bachelor’s degree with >7 years technical sales experience, at least 3 years as a senior/key/named account manager, with a proven track record of success

●  Must possess strong cross-functional team and leadership skills

●  Travel is required



● Industry knowledge and experience in automotive industry(OEM, Tier suppliers)

● CAE/CAD sales experience and knowledge

● Sales leadership with Cross-function collaboration, internal deal team orchestration, deal schedule management, etc

● Excellent skills in global account management, strategic account planning, sales strategy, execution and closing

● Outstanding presentation, verbal and written communication skills

● Excellent problem solving skills

● Ability to work independently
