SUMMARY
The Systems Administrator II configures and supports business infrastructure systems in support of ANSYS business. The role is responsible for the validation of basic business requirements, basic and advanced system configuration on IT systems and environments and providing expertise to IT and the business units in a limited subject matter field. This role is able to work independently with moderate supervision and participate as a technology resource in day to day administration

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provide tier-1 and tier-2 support to the end user either physically or through remote support
•Manage, create, respond to, and resolve Incidents and Service Requests
•Support and administer various third-party applications
•Perform upgrade/maintenance of system and software applications
•Configure and provide end user support for desktops, laptops, and printers
•Strong understanding of MS Windows 10 Operating systems
•Expertise in Microsoft Office tools including O365 and MS Teams
•Follow build checklist to ensure all applications and settings are correct
•Configuration and troubleshooting of basic issues related to (but not limited to) virtual machines, networks / network protocols, and Windows File Shares
•Adhere to documented Asset Management procedures and maintain accurate records
•ITSM software platform – Experience working with ServiceNow highly preferred
•Other Tasks as required

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•Associate degree
•Minimum of 3 years of Help Desk experience
•Applicant should be comfortable working with executive level end users
•Excellent Communication Skills
•Demonstrated ability working and leading collaborative teams


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Core competencies for this position also include effective time management, problem solving and time management, customer focus, a drive for results, the ability to communicate effectively, teamwork and organization skills
•Experience in Windows Client operating systems
•Heavy lifting is necessary as infrastructure components can weigh up to 50lbs 
•Strong technical troubleshooting skills
