SUMMARY
The Senior Product Specialist works closely with Application Engineers and product developers to drive product development and provide expert help in deployment of complex advanced features. In this role, the Senior Product Specialist will use advanced technical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex issues, ensure product quality, and shape direction of new product features.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become an expert in Diakopto tools:
    • ParagonX – for IC layout parasitics analysis and debugging
    • PowerX – for power FET and PMIC analysis
    • PrimeX – for quick and easy EMIR analysis 
    • Evangelize Diakopto tools to customers
  • Help drive product development, specification, productization
  • Explore new application areas, scenarios, markets to expand Diakopto tools presence and usage
  • Creating application notes, white papers, documentation, presentations, LinkedIn articles, video tutorials
  • Develop competence in one or more products working independently and be recognized as an expert
  • Lead portions of projects and motivates others towards a common goal.  Displays desire to get involved. Instills confidence in others
  • Work with Customers & Application Engineers to understand emerging needs / requirements and create product specifications
  • Validate new product features & ensure it meets the requirements and quality
  • Provide expertise to application engineers and customers in deploying advanced solutions
  • Manage pre- and post-sales activities (e.g., demos, evaluations, training sessions, webinars, and debugging sessions)


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 5 years’ experience, MS with 3 years’ experience, or PhD 
  • Prior experience as analog / custom IC designer or layout engineer
  • Familiarity with advanced technology nodes
  • Familiarity with SPICE circuit simulation
  • Familiarity with analog and custom IC design flow, tools, and methodologies
  • Expertise in parasitic extraction (industry standard tools, physics, flow, collaterals)
  • Expertise in parasitic effects, characteristics, and their impact on IC designs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Learn new tasks and adapt to change, establish priorities, and handle various tasks simultaneously, perform job under pressure or in critical situations

                 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for crafting robust and efficient design flows
  • Experience in delivering high-quality support for large-scale commercial software
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a geographically distributed team and customers
  • Self-motivated, self-driven, works well both as an individual contributor and as a team player
