Summer 2021 Intern - Electronics Software Development and Testing - Desktop (Remote)

As an Electronics Software Development and Testing Intern, you will help develop our industry-leading simulation software while gaining real experience in your field of study.  You will work on a variety of impactful projects to help maintain, advance, and accelerate Ansys products. In this internship, you will support our Electronics Business Unit.

This is a 40-hour per week paid position starting May 2021 and concluding August 2021. This position is remote. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Advance software robustness by testing and verifying defect fixes.
• Conduct interactive and automated testing of user interfaces and simulation results.
• Build tools that automate software development/testing infrastructure processes.
• Learn and employ best software practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Pursuing a MS or PhD degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science,  electrical engineering, numerical methods, circuit simulation, device modeling or related technical degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after the completion of the internship program.
• Experience in with C/C++, Python or Java.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of graphics pipeline and graphics API such as OpenGL
• Knowledge of scripting and shells like python, csh, bash.
• Prior experience of using Ansys products or other engineering software is a plus.
