SUMMARY

The Payroll Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the payroll operations of all APAC countries (India, China, Japan, Korea, etc.), while working closely with the local payroll analysts. This role will be responsible for ensuring that payroll in the APAC region is processed in compliance with all local payroll and regulatory requirements. The Payroll Supervisor will work closely with other members of the Payroll/HR Team, as well as other ANSYS departments to ensure APAC Payroll operations are robust and performed with the highest level of accuracy.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the payroll operations and the payroll team in APAC.
  • Provide hands-on support for local payroll activities as needed.
  • Work closely with local Payroll/HR teams to ensure payroll is processed as per the defined procedures, guidelines, and legal requirements.
  • Look for continuous ways of process improvement and automation for payroll operations.
  • Ensure data integrity, compliance, and accuracy for APAC payroll.
  • Maintain payroll reconciliations and standard / ad hoc reporting for other departments, including tax, accounting, and stock administration.
  • Serve as an employee point of contact for payroll and HR questions, communications, and troubleshooting.
  • Create and maintain internal processes and procedures, including compliance and controls.
  • Ensure required taxes, social contributions, benefit programs and other deductions are handled in accordance with local laws and regulations for each country.
  • Manage relationship and communication with the external Payroll vendor.
  • Administer and/or work with HR/Payroll Systems (for example - ADP Celergo/GlobalView and SuccessFactors Employee Central).
  • Integral team member for implementation of new ADP payroll system across the APAC region.
  • Additional duties and project work as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Finance, or Human Resources major preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an India payroll environment
  • Working knowledge and/or direct experience of payroll processing in more than 1 APAC country
  • Strong knowledge of and ability to interpret regulatory reporting and withholding requirements
  • Knowledge of HR operations and administration
  • Typing, organizing, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office product suite, with particular strength in Excel

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with a Payroll vendor in a Managed Service environment, preferably with the ADP Celergo platform
  • 3 or more years of experience in a payroll leadership role, preferably with a decentralized team
  • General office environment
