Summary / Role Purpose

Join our growing Localization team to drive customer adoption of Ansys solutions globally. The Sr. Localization Project Manager will manage localization projects and priorities, negotiate deadlines, build, and maintain ongoing relationships across internal and external vendors. This position will play a key role in supporting internal stakeholders and external customers by driving the creation of high-quality content across eight primary languages in the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe. 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee end to end localization workflow using our translation management tools and systems
  • Prepare files for localization to ensure they will translate properly   
  • Coordinate internal resources and external vendors for assigned projects
  • Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and executing an overall integrated delivery plan
  • Take initiative to resolve issues or questions in a timely manner
  • Train linguists and reviewers
  • Oversee the localization budget for projects through gathering data on the cost, timeliness, and quality of projects
  • Partner with local teams to improve the review process and to ensure consistent terminology is used across the regions
  • Collaborate with team localization staff to implement creative solutions to improve the localization process

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Education & Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in localization project management
  • Experience using computer-assisted translation tools (Trados Studio, MemoQ, etc.) and translation management software
  • Experience working with localization vendors, setting up workflows, and managing budgets
  • Strong teammate that works well in a remote environment and with multiple functions across the organization
  • Strong verbal and written communicator with fluency in English

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Fluent in one of the following languages: Chinese, Korean, Japanese, French, German, Italian
  • Extreme enthusiasm for customer experience and the associated localizing of that experience
  • Understanding of simulation software
  • Experience working with both product and support teams
  • Passionate about building new teams, processes, and tools
