Summary / Role Purpose 
The R&D Verification Engineer II works with a dynamic team dedicated to the design, development, and maintenance of the next generation Simulation Process Data Management software. The focus of this role will revolve around testing to ensure the product’s functional, data security and compatibility requirements are satisfied.  You are comfortable with software best-practices, continuous integration, and continuous testing. As a skilled engineer, your colleagues will rely on you to address verification and validation challenges for the enterprise-level SPDM solution.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Participates in planning, architecture, and research.
• Perform functional, application, regression, and performance testing in manual and/or automated test environments.
• Create test plans and contribute to testing initiatives, responsible for coverage analysis and testing metrics in specific areas, participate in defect management.
• Apply technical and professional knowledge in specialized areas and investigate complex product issues and problems.
• Analyze product requirements and develop tests for new features.
• Specify and write test cases, create, modify, and update existing tests, write and maintain test scripts.
• Work in a variety of computing environments: [e.g., Windows, VM’s, Compute Clusters, Cloud]

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Aerospace, Electronics or related discipline)
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in testing engineering/enterprise web applications
• Experience in creating test plans, high level test scenarios, test cases, test data and executing test for enterprise application.
• Good understanding of distributed & multi-tenant systems, CI/CD philosophy, processes, and tools.
• Current on emerging technology, industry and market trends and understands how they can impact projects and connection to business relevance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Logical problem-solving approach.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Experience with enterprise class product development systems like PLM, ALM, and ERP is a plus.
• Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team.
