Summary / Role Purpose

The ANSYS Solution UI/UX Lead is responsible for leading the User Experience design aspects of our Solutions and ensure implementation of best UI practices and guidelines for a modern user experience. These solutions are built on ANSYS Platform that will enable customers’ engineers to access simulation flows through web applications for their engineering design processes e.g. for autonomous driving (ADAS/AV), 5G systems, electrification etc. As a Solution UI/UX Lead, you will work with customers to collect UX requirements, design the UI specifications for the UI development team, design the UI mockups, contribute to the UI architecture and development, and put required processes for early adoption of our deliveries.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities
oGet requirement from customers and design the UI specifications for the UI development team.
oDesign the UI mockups and user task flows
oSpecify the UI logic in accordance with the end users
oContribute to the UI architecture and development
oWork with the PMO to put required processes for early adoption of our deliveries
oContinuously interact with customers to specify, write and maintain UI tests
oLead the front-end manual and automated tests
oCoordinates contractors’ activities.
oActively participate in project planning, design brainstorm sessions and scrum meetings
oWork in an agile environment to develop the next-generation customer centric ANSYS Solutions
oPartner with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and build solutions
oThink “outside the box”, prototype internally and let your ideas be known
oScale good practices and reusable patterns overall ACE worldwide organization
oBe a team player who can collaborate effectively with all key ANSYS and customer stakeholders including sales, product development, project management, implementation engineers, and end users

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

oBachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Applied Math, Engineering or related field
oA minimum of 10 years of working experience as UI developer and/or UX/UI designer
oStrong understanding of software UX/CX methodologies including design thinking
oStrong experience in several web UI programming frameworks and technologies
oExperience in organizing and facilitating end-user workshops
oKnowledge in UX design tools e.g. Adobe Experience Design, Sketch etc.
oExperience in user adoption strategy
oExperience in strategize, plan, schedule, and coordinate testing to meet delivery dates and commitments
oKnowledge in Agile framework – from being in an agile team to leading an agile transition in your company
oExcellent written and oral communication skills in the English language
oExcellent organizational and communication skills
oSelf-driven and highly motivated team player

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

oMaster’s degree or Ph.D. degree will be considered
oExperience with cloud technology frameworks on Azure or AWS
oGood understanding of engineering or physics
oAbility to work independently, as well as with others in a diverse team environment
oAbility to travel up to 20%
