Summary / Role Purpose

The Global Data Privacy Analyst will be responsible for performing day-to-day activities supporting both the data privacy and retention programs, including: (I) reviewing Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs); (ii) supporting the Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) process; (iii) supporting the day-to-day implementation of the retention program; (iv) assisting with data privacy integrations relating to M&A activities; and (iv) having an overall integral role in general program roadmap initiatives.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducts day-to-day data privacy and retention activities, including overseeing the completion of DSARs, reviewing PIAs, executing the privacy checklist for M&A integrations, fielding retention related questions and concerns, and escalating such questions as needed.
  • Provides program and project support, including becoming the system administrator for the data privacy team’s technology (e.g., OneTrust), and by developing and updating electronic questionnaires.
  • Partners with the business teams to further implement the retention programs.
  • Supports internal team processes to ensure assessments, reviews and questions are addressed within a defined cadence.
  • Assists in the design, testing, implementation and enforcement of data standards and controls.
  • Collects, understands, and communicates business teams' retention requirements to management to create informed action plans.
  • Engages with cross-functional, global stakeholders to embrace and champion an enterprise-wide culture, where data is deemed an enterprise asset and records management is seamlessly incorporated into Ansys systems.
  • Encourages the deletion of unneeded data and instructs on the retention of necessary records.
  • Supports the development, coordination, and execution of training and awareness programs for data privacy and retention initiatives.

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of one year of related experience in privacy, records management, data governance, cyber security or related fields; preferably on a global scale
  • Demonstrates both collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team, while completing tasks and projects autonomously if necessary
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational and presentations skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, developing, and deadline-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • OneTrust experience
  • Privacy Professional Certification (International Association of Privacy Professionals)
  • Professional Records Management Certification (institute of Certified Records Managers)
