Summary / Role Purpose

The student intern (m/f/d) for Channel Development  will play a key role in creating and developing opportunities for new business by building and executing campaigns for the Ansys Channel Development team. The student intern will be responsible to partner locally with the channel and marketing team to drive business initiatives in Central Europe for Ansys Channel Partners. The student intern creates in coordination with the team sales campaigns through significant engagement in a business-to-business environment and use of internet/internal database resources to identify and profile new customers. In addition to campaign generation and development, the student intern is responsible for lead qualification, routing and administration process at Ansys.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research and analytics of small and mid-sized business (SMB) market and specific vertical markets to identify future growth potential.
  • Effectively partner and work across the Marketing, Sales, Channel and Product teams to support achievement of Sales target.
  • Support coordination of campaigns between Ansys Channel Management and Channel Partner stakeholders.
  • Build target lists for campaigns.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on the marketing plans & campaigns (marketing material, seminar, webinar, Ansys events, tradeshows and digitally led customer engagement programs, etc) and ensure traffic at these events by small and mid-sized business market customers and prospects.
  • Support account-based marketing activities.
  • Support the lead qualification, routing and administration process at Ansys.
  • Follow up on prospect inquiries relating to Ansys software products, qualify them by applying sales and technical expertise and pass them to the appropriate opportunity owner and help to schedule meetings, appointments, and demos where needed.
  • Contribute to efficient and useful reporting of different lead aspects per territory.
  • Develop and communicate ongoing improvements to the process of prospecting for and qualifying leads.
  • Ensure the data integrity & consistency in CRM by updating the lead and/or contact info and account/prospect intelligence gathered to provide visibility to market opportunities in assigned territory.
  • Work on special territory-specific projects and team-specific responsibilities as directed.


Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Studying towards a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Demonstrated skills in writing, understanding, and presenting in English and German
  • Knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Authorized to work in Germany

  • Technical aptitude and/or 1 year of experience in an industrial/technical sales environment

  • Able to assess business opportunities based on predetermined criteria in order to align opportunities with sales
