Summary / Role Purpose
The Channel Sales Manager reports to the Regional Manager (Aerospace & Defence ) and is responsible for selling with partners all ANSYS products and services to new and existing customers of ANSYS in the Tri -Services (PAN India) & few named accounts. The Channel Sales Manager is a quota carrying position and would need to generate the committed revenue and help grow the revenue as per growth plans. Location : Delhi
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop the ANSYS business with Tri-Services organisation across the India
- Develop existing/New Channel Partner , System Integrators to grow business
- Instrumental in screening of prospective clients and converting them to satisfied customer
- Participate in Business Plan and execute the strategy to expand customer base in the assigned Geo / Vertical
- Constantly Qualify and build new opportunities / prospects
- Accurately forecast and execute Booking, Billing and Collection figures
- Positioning of Software products and solutions
- Effective Account Management and Customer Relationship - Establishing a cordial relationship with the clients so as to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and repeat purchases upgrades and cross sales of Software products and solutions
- Demonstrated excellence in giving presentation and arranging demonstration of the products in Defence sector, influencing the specification of the product and making the company strong even if tender comes out
- Building and maintaining healthy business relations with major customers, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for creating a compelling value proposition in government segment.
- Competition Analysis by keeping abreast of Market Trends & achieving market share metrics.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
Degree / Bachelor’s/ Masters in Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
• 10 + years of quota carrying sales experience in selling high-value software solutions, with a track record of achieving sales goals in a consistent manner
• A&D experience in Defence ,Tri Services and understanding of Decision Process.
• Ability to manage large accounts and close complex large value deals.
• Engineering Simulation/ PLM /Business Software sales experience preferred
• Excellent communication and team skills; committed to learning
• Proficient with office productivity and presentation tools
• Ability to travel at least 70% of the time.
• Ability to develop and handle Partner ecosystems
• Excellent Communication skills
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
• Ability to write proposals with focus on value addition of the product portfolio
• Ability to author & present Director level presentations and have conversations with them.
Skills Required:
- Strong track record of selling high ticket value based software solutions.
- Understands buying process cycle in Defence (Army,Navy,Airforce) and should be well known with the dynamics of defence sector.
- Channel Partner development and management
- Proven track record of consistent high performance and new business acquisition
- Ability to forecast future sales trends and devise future sales strategies for the same.
- Strong account management and business acumen
- Strategic planning, market plan execution with skills in competitor and market analysis
- Developing relationships at CXO level of customer organization.
