Ansys Cloud increases simulation throughput by removing the hardware barrier.  As the Lead Product Manager, you will be responsible for directing the strategy and vision of these next-generation customer centric Ansys Solutions.

 

The Lead Product Manager is an advanced professional that demonstrates leadership through engagement with customers, field staff, and development teams to influence strategic revenue objectives and the go-to-market strategy. The individual has deep and broad knowledge of the product portfolio, providing direction to more junior teammates. The individual exercises business acumen to implement models and procedures that impact business growth.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engage customers to understand their needs and perspectives
  • Drive product strategy, specifications and requirements 
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and display product ownership
  • Evaluate and prioritize requests for product changes and enhancements
  • Create realistic and prioritized development plans and schedules 
  • Support product campaigns with Marketing 
  • Support sales activities to achieve strategic revenue objectives
  • Partner with resellers, distributors, ISV, etc. to grow the ecosystem
  • Assess competitive threats and ensure the product is differentiated
  • Collect feedback from Ansys Customer Excellence teams
  • Publish technical papers, positioning presentations, webinars, video clips, etc.
  • Explain technology to customers, partners, and analysts
  • Instruct Customer Excellence and Account Teams

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or a closely related field:
    • Bachelor’s with 5 years of experience or;
    • Master's with 3 years of experience or;
    • PhD with 1 year of experience
  • Significant experience in computer aided engineering (CAE) simulations, pre-sales support, sales, or customer engagement
  • Ability to manage complex projects
  • 2+ years of Cloud Computing experience 
  • Awareness of industry trends towards automation and democratization, requiring engineering simulation workflows that are fast, accurate, and easy-to-use
  • Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to communicate business value of technical innovations

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Advanced degree in business, science or engineering
  • 8+ years of combined experience in engineering, CAE simulations, or technical sales
  • Understanding of the full simulation process from geometry to solution post-processing
  • Experience with Ansys Simulation products 
  • Experience with competitors Simulation products
  • Experience with cloud service providers, e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
  • Expert usage of flagship products of the BU and/or competitive products in the market
  • Prior experience in a product or offering management role
  • Experience with agile development methods and tools
  • Experience with Ansys Electronics & Semiconductor products
