Summary / Role Purpose 

The purpose of the EUC Mac Administrator System Engineer role is to be responsible for maintaining and improving the tools and processes used to deploy and manage the Mac operating system and Apple computers globally at Ansys. 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Possess technical understanding of the suite of products used at Ansys to manage end user computing endpoints running the macOS operating system, including: 

  • Apple Business Manager 

  • Jamf 

  • Jamf integrations to Microsoft Endpoint Manager Intune 

  • Microsoft Defender 

  • Filevault 

  • Azure Active Directory 

  • Participate in the resolution of end user computing related incidents, requests, and changes, ensuring a high standard of execution and ownership. 

  • Work closely with employees and Operations teams to undertake investigations and diagnose performance and service-related issues, ensuring that key stakeholders are kept informed. 

  • Act as a subject matter expert for end user computing Mac administration support processes and work to build understanding of these processes throughout the Operations team. 

  • Create and follow standard end user computing Mac administration and management processes and guidelines with a high degree of quality and reliability. 

  • Recommend and implement improvements to Mac deployment and administration processes and guidelines through collaboration with the entire End User Computing team, especially using automation where appropriate. 

  • Complete project-related tasks for end user computing projects with a high degree of quality and according to project timelines. 

  • Possess a strong commitment to continuous improvement and a very high level of customer service. 

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field or equivalent job experience 

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in IT 

  • Experience with the following technologies 

  • Apple Business Manager 

  • Jamf 

  • Microsoft Defender 

  • Filevault 

  • Azure Active Directory 

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills 

  • Five or more years of experience in IT 

  • Knowledge on Microsoft 365 environment and integrating Macs into that environment 

  • Experience with designing and implementing Mac administration architecture 

  • Very good written and verbal English 

  • Experience with the following technologies 

  • ServiceNow 

  • Mobile Operating Systems, such as iOS and Android
