Summary / role Purpose
Join the Ansys Customer Excellence to partner with our customers to engineer what's ahead, solve their real-world engineering problems, deploy Ansys software in their design workflows. The Application Engineer is responsible for leveraging advanced-level engineering knowledge knowledge to provide technical pre-sales support, perform professional services to solve complex engineering problems using LS-DYNA and to support enterprise accounts with a significant impact on software revenue. This role involves the enhancement of current and the development of new methodologies of LS-DYNA with the focus of simulating manufacturing processes. You will be working within multi-disciplinary teams to advance your knowledge, experience and business impact.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Interact with customers to understand their engineering needs and workflows
- Analyze how to address customers’ requirements using Ansys products and platform
- Articulate Ansys’ value proposition
- Contribute to mentoring services
- Develop simulation best practices, solutions, FAQs for knowledge base
- Composition and presentation of technical reports to customers
- Conception and execution of training classes
- Presentation in conferences
- Work independently and take on some planning and mentoring responsibilities
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
- University degree (MSc) in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or related field
- MSc and 2 years of work experience
- Experience with the use of relevant FEA software for structural analysis
- Ability to independently prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with LS-DYNA for explicit and implicit applications
- Experience with softwares to simulate manufacturing processes like stamping, filling molding.
- Experience in python programing
- Work experience in Linux environment and HPC
- Fluent in Swedish and English
