Summary / role Purpose

Join the Ansys Customer Excellence to partner with our customers to engineer what's ahead, solve their real-world engineering problems, deploy Ansys software in their design workflows. The Application Engineer is responsible for leveraging advanced-level engineering knowledge knowledge to provide technical pre-sales support, perform professional services to solve complex engineering problems using LS-DYNA and to support enterprise accounts with a significant impact on software revenue. This role involves the enhancement of current and the development of new methodologies of LS-DYNA with the focus of simulating manufacturing processes. You will be working within multi-disciplinary teams to advance your knowledge, experience and business impact.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to understand their engineering needs and workflows
• Analyze how to address customers’ requirements using Ansys products and platform
• Articulate Ansys’ value proposition
• Contribute to mentoring services
• Develop simulation best practices, solutions, FAQs for knowledge base
• Composition and presentation of technical reports to customers
• Conception and execution of training classes
• Presentation in conferences
• Work independently and take on some planning and mentoring responsibilities
   

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

• University degree (MSc) in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or related field
• MSc and 2 years of work experience
• Experience with the use of relevant FEA software for structural analysis
• Ability to independently prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• MSc+3 or PhD years of experience

• Experience with LS-DYNA for explicit and implicit applications
• Experience with softwares to simulate manufacturing processes like stamping, filling molding.
• Experience in python programing
• Work experience in Linux environment and HPC
• Fluent in Swedish and English
