Summary / Role Purpose

Within the sensor team, the platform implements the functionalities of several sensors (camera, Radar, Lidar). The sensors are implemented in such that they are physically correct, i.e. they respect the physical laws of the environment/nature such as light refraction/reflection. Moreover, the sensors are simulated in “real-time” based on given sensors and environment parameters. In order to improve the precision of the physic simulation specially in the domain of the retro-reflective and specular peak, the intern will implement the rusinkiewicz parametrization (https://www.cs.princeton.edu/~smr/papers/brdf_change_of_variables/brdf_change_of_variables.pdf) to improve the physics of the rendering pipeline.

  • Required Education and Degree Type:  Computer Science with specializing in rendering and graphics.

  • Intern enjoys learning new ideas and implement research papers to integrate them in a product.
  • Enjoys computer graphics.
  • C#, OpenGL, Shaders, GPU, Graphics, Rendering
  • Intern enjoys interacting with others.
