The Nordics Regional Sales Manager/Director leads the Ansys direct sales team in the region, ensuring consistent high performance and sales growth from this important part of the Northern European business.    Working with some of Ansys’s largest clients in the region, you will integrate a long term and strategic customer focus, with the objective of delivering annual business growth, working with both your immediate sales team and with the broader cross-functional Ansys team in Sweden and beyond.  From both an internal and external perspective, you will also function as the de facto country leader for Ansys Sweden AB.

 

  • Defines account and opportunity planning processes and develops new initiatives to maximize revenue in the region.
  • Provides weekly sales forecast information for senior management, accurately interpreting forecast information from sales staff and applying any necessary management level adjustments.
  • Provides ‘hands on’, ‘sleeves rolled up’ guidance and support for sales staff.
  • Regular interactions and relationship building at mid to senior levels of the customer organization and direct involvement in key deals. 
  • Makes judgements regarding when to seek support and escalation from other colleagues within Ansys, either in own department or across the wider organization.
  • Ensures and maintains effective levels of knowledge, skills and winning attitude in the sales team.  Identifies training gaps at both the individual and team level and creates plans for continuous improvement.
  • Creates a strong sales culture through sales discipline & methodology, activity, account reviews and setting out clear expectations.
  • Performance manages the team in a positive manner, through positive reinforcement and coaching.
  • Potentially up to 50% business travel under normal business circumstances.
