Summary / Role Purpose 
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) Safe Systems is responsible for maximizing the company revenues through the direction of the safe systems overlay team in EMEA. The RSM directs the work effort of product sales managers, sales support as well as help in managing the relationships and performance of channel partners. This role develops long term strategies around the systems, safety and embedded software portfolio and sets the agenda around the right priorities of the team to win at the customer. A successful Regional Sales Manager empowers their team to be responsible for their work and inspires others to reach for excellence. 


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the safe systems software portfolio in EMEA to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives. 
  • Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams.
  • Develops long term strategies and specific plans to ensure revenue growth in the company's safe systems products & services.
  • Coordinates appropriate resources to ensure efficient and consistent sales.
  • Conducts long-range studies of changes in sales and strategies.
  • Recruits, directs, coaches, develops, rewards, motivates, and assesses product overlay sales team members. 
  • Educates product sales overlay team in terms of sales techniques and tactics.
  • Establishes and manages effective programs and seminars to address the following issues:
    • Growth of the safe systems portfolio in new accounts and new industries
    • Growth of the safe systems portfolio in existing ELA customers
    • Sales of adjacent emerging products and services
    • Pro-active competitive strategies and targeted sales campaigns
    • Proper use and level of sales support
    • Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
  • Education & Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree in technical, engineering, business or related field with 8+ years of experience of demonstrated success in technical sales positions OR 12+ years of experience demonstrated success in technical sales positions.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to forecast, estimate revenue and profit trends.
  • Strong understanding of systems, safety solutions and embedded software 
  • Fluent in English and in the local language of the territory
  • Travel: up to 50%


Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Master’s degree or MBA 
  • Management experience
  • High level of knowledge of company's products/services, pricing practices, and selling skills.
