Join Ansys as a student intern (m/f/d) to apply your education to solve real world engineering problems, advance career skills and experience work at Ansys. The student intern will be part of the R&D, Data Management Team and will work closely in developing and delivering high performance frameworks for concurrent read/write of large, structured datasets in a multi-tenant storage environment. The student intern will get an opportunity to interact with Ansys global leaders.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the definition and development of software solutions within the Data Management team
  • Write tests and scripts to automate the execution steps for the integration, development, and deployment of our services
  • Interact with other teams (other development teams) to get requirements and feedback
  • Being organized and process oriented to work on long-term complex projects with multiple teams and individuals


Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Studying towards a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering
  • Ready to work at the advertised location without requiring relocation assistance by Ansys
  • Interest in software development and data management: databases, scripting
  • Motivated to learn; strong problem solving, communication and time management skills
  • Demonstrated skills in writing, understanding, and presenting in fluent English
  • Authorized to work in Germany

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages, especially Python – Java, Scala, Python, etc.
  • Knowledge of database management systems, e. g. PostgreSQL
    • Familiarity of NoSQL databases like MongoDB is a plus
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is desirable
  • Knowledge of designing and implementing RESTful APIs is desirable
  • Experience with a version control system (e. g. git) is desirable
  • Fundamental understanding of highly scalable, distributed systems
  • Fundamental understanding of multi-threaded/multi-processing application development
  • Ability to work in a geographically distributed development environment and requires excellent communication skills
