The Manager, Strategic Engagements will define, implement and continuously improve account strategy and processes.  This individual will be responsible for creating and driving engagements with all market segments. The incumbent will create and drive programs critical to our expansion of the Americas region. Responsibilities include driving efficiencies around sales, account planning; strategic planning, enabling programs and finally partner with Business Operations, Marketing and Development Departments.



  • Create and drive engagements with all market segments across the Americas accounts and cross functionally with other Ansys Departments
  • Strategic planning on a broad basis with all sales teams
  • Specific and direct involvement on key identified targets, from concept to closure
  • Develops approach and business case (including required investments) to deliver sustainable growth
  • Creates productive collaboration between global Ansys teams supporting the account(s)
  • Identify, create and execute on key strategic Initiatives and enable the team to execute
  • Create programs to support upselling opportunities in the install base
  • Drive Account Based Marketing by aligning with Marketing / PR and Account Managers
  • Partner with Account Managers and Business Operations and Finance on large, multi-year and complex deals



  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Sales, Marketing or related field
  • 2 years of strategic planning experience
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate and bring people together, and drive to results are essential
  • Ability to travel up to 25%



  • MBA or another advanced degree
  • Ability to earn trust through performance and relationship building
  • Ability to influence employees at all levels of the organization
