Autonomous vehicles will drive millions of kilometers in the virtual world before the first driverless cars hit the road. ANSYS is building the software toolchain to demonstrate safety in the virtual world prior to commercial deployment.

As part of its development, ANSYS is recruiting a fulltime software R&D engineer for his AVxcelerate development team.

You will contribute in the development of middleware kernels (internal components) to be used in our virtual reality simulations products line.

This cover mainly functionalities like preparing virtual physics based worlds (3D objects, environments, lighting, sensors...), simulating them within different scenarios (deployment with a simulation platform) and exposing data results (for visualizations, analyzes, for feedback loop re-injection in the simulation…).

You will closely work with development teams including Scrum Masters, Products Owners, Quality Assurance & DOCumentation members in a way to efficiently translate customer’s needs & stakeholders feedbacks in order to provide reliable agile solutions with innovative technologies.

Your Main responsibilities will include:

  • Participating to the continuous backlog analysis & refinement (design specification & architecture integration, work splits with effort estimation)  

  • Developing mainly in .NET C# autonomously and within a small teams with strong communication & collaboration skills 

  • Developing unit tests up to automated integration tests and taking part in writing technical documentation

  • Supporting continuous deliveries & deployments (CI/CD), collaborating with teams dedicated to infrastructure sustainability (DevOps), product quality, software documentation, product expertise and customer support    

  • Participating to continuous improvements, providing constructive feedbacks and contributing to a global knowledge growing & sharing (TechTalks, Coffee’n’Learn sessions…)



You are a graduate from an Engineering School or university and have a Masters degree with more than 2 years experienced skills in Software Engineering.

  • You have a solid experience in C# programming (OOP proficiency with .NetCore stack) and testing frameworks (XUnit, moq…) with strong knowledge in architecture to maintain .NET C# frameworks (design patterns' pros and cons in application, SOLID, DDD...).
  • You are used to daily manipulate code versioning software & ticketing systems (Git, TFS azure devops) as well as dependencies package management systems (nuget).
  • You have knowledge in data contract/exchanges and real-time interoperability with external software (XSD, JSON, Protocol Buffers, gRPC...).
  • You have knowledge in 3D rendering gaming/simulation pipeline and associated data-structure management like "Scene Graph" and "Entity Component System (ECS)”.
  • Having knowledge in LINUX environment is a plus.

As the position is embedded in an international scientific context, a good English level, as well as a scientific background with knowledge in mathematics, are necessary.
