Summary / Role Purpose
We are looking for a visionary Director of Corporate Marketing to lead and elevate Ansys Government Initiatives (AGI) in the U.S. government sector. This key leadership role will drive impactful cross-functional initiatives, aligning Ansys’ growth strategy with AGI’s go-to-market (GTM) goals to maximize brand presence and demand generation. The successful candidate will blend creative marketing expertise with a deep understanding of the U.S. government landscape to position AGI as the premier provider of simulation solutions, ensuring strong demand across Ansys' entire product portfolio.

This position will report to the Vice President of Marketing at Ansys.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies that align with AGI’s go-to-market (GTM) objectives, ensuring a unified brand presence across all channels.
    • Establish, manage, and enforce AGI brand guidelines to guarantee consistent messaging, tone, and visual identity.
    • Use market research and government customer insights to refine AGI’s brand positioning, ensuring differentiation within the U.S. government sector.
  • Demand Generation:
    • Partner closely with product, sales, customer excellence, and other teams to create and execute targeted sales and marketing initiatives that drive demand among U.S. government customers.
    • Lead cross-functional teams in planning and executing AGI-specific marketing campaigns and events, aligning efforts with AGI’s brand and GTM objectives.
    • Foster a collaborative environment by facilitating regular meetings, sharing insights, and synchronizing strategies across internal teams.
  • Content and Communications:
    • Develop clear, compelling messaging for internal and external audiences, ensuring alignment with both AGI's unique value proposition and the broader Ansys brand.
    • Create engaging content for various channels, including digital, print, and social media, to boost AGI’s brand awareness and customer engagement.
    • Ensure all content is tailored to resonate with U.S. government audiences, conveying the relevance and value of AGI solutions.
  • Project Management and Reporting:
    • Monitor, measure, and analyze the success of brand campaigns and events using key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize future efforts.
    • Ensure all marketing activities comply with industry standards, government regulations, and company policies, with a focus on compliance and data protection.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field is required. An advanced degree (MBA or similar) or professional certification (e.g., PCM, PMP) is highly desirable.
  • Industry Expertise: 7-10 years of progressive experience in marketing with a focus on U.S. Federal business, U.S. Federal Aerospace & Defense, or government entities. Deep knowledge of the U.S. government ecosystem, particularly regarding procurement and technology adoption, is essential.
  • Security Requirements: U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of data systems access. Security clearance or the ability and willingness to obtain it is necessary for marketing activities involving classified information.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience leading cross-functional marketing initiatives, with a strong track record of managing and motivating high-performing teams. Ability to influence and build positive relationships with internal and external partners at all levels.
  • Strategic Vision & Creativity: A strategic thinker with a creative mindset, capable of developing and executing comprehensive brand strategies. Demonstrates a strong sense of design, branding, and storytelling, ensuring that all campaigns create a lasting impact and align with business goals.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex ideas and strategies to diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership and government customers.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise with marketing tools and platforms, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, and Google Analytics, as well as experience leveraging these tools to drive demand generation and measure results.
  • Project & Change Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects, particularly those involving multiple stakeholders across marketing, sales, and product teams.
  • Analytical Competence: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data analysis tools to track and measure the performance of campaigns and demonstrate ROI. Experience translating data into actionable insights for strategy optimization.
  • Commitment to Excellence: Meticulous attention to detail, with outstanding organizational skills and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality marketing outputs that support brand integrity.
