Summary / Role Purpose

Education Development Managers (m/f/d) have the opportunity to make a real difference to undergraduate engineering teaching worldwide and strengthen their professional network. Education Development Managers are expected to have a broad working knowledge of Ansys education products and contribute to product related development that meet appropriate time and quality targets. While expected to work under self-initiative and prioritize work appropriately, work will be subject to frequent review by more experienced teammates.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the organization of online and onsite events such as user group meetings, workshops and webinars in collaboration with sales and marketing
  • Develop a good understanding of institutional educational curriculum and key research initiatives
  • Help with feedback initiatives such as surveys to learn more about the use of Ansys education resources in the curriculum and feed that information to the sales, marketing and product development teams
  • Contribute to the development of effective and innovative teaching resources for undergraduate engineering, science and design courses to enable Ansys products to be more effectively and widely adopted
  • Demonstrate Ansys education resources and products to educators in meetings
  • Provide project implementation support for specific customer engagement and resource development activities in collaboration with Ansys sales team and partners
  • Provide education training and support to sales and channel partners

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or related field with 5 years of experience, MS with 3 years’ experience, or PhD with 1 year experience in
  • engineering, computer aided engineering (CAE) simulations, pre-sales support, sales, or customer engagement, engineering education, digital learning
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience of presenting in meetings and at conferences
  • Ability to work with a diverse and multicultural group of engineers and scientists, often located in different time zones
  • Fluent spoken and written English and German

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • PhD+1 in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or related field
  • Experience of teaching at the higher education level using Ansys education resources
  • Experience in writing educational or research articles
  • Exposure to teaching or education related projects at a higher education level
  • Commercial awareness with an interest in business development
  • Experience with Ansys software
