SUMMARY
Engineers are an essential part of the product creation team, providing important feedback to developers and product managers on the state of the product, enabling informed decisions to be made. The Testing Engineer I will be responsible for testing ANSYS’s 3D CAD Design products, including Discovery SpaceClaim, SCDM, CAD Integration, Discovery Live and future products. A successful candidate will have an interest in investigation, exploration, possess analytical skills and decision-making abilities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform manual testing as defined by the ANSYS product feature specifications and test plans
  • Create and maintain automated regression tests
  • Create, revise and execute test plans
  • Submit software defect reports
  • Work directly with software developers and produce managers to ensure product requirement implementation
  • Investigate defects and its subsequent effects on the product
  • Coordinate with other teams to address cross team dependencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience with CAD design products such as Ansys SpaceClaim, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Creo Parametric, CATIA, CADNexus CAPRI, or UGNX
  • Experience with CAE tools in industrial or academic projects, and familiarity with the associated engineering principles
  • A thorough and careful approach to work with close attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with peers locally and in remote locations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
  • This position does not qualify for immigration sponsorship

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • Programming experience in Python, C#, C++ is a plus
  • A minimum of 0-2 years of software testing or Engineering work experience (preferably in the Mechanical, or Aerospace fields) with a Master’s degree
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and agile environment is a plus
