SUMMARY
The Technology Partner Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of technology partnerships (software and/or hardware) at Ansys.  This includes managing new and existing relationships to increase business value as well as cultivating new opportunities to expand these partnerships. This role drives alignment with sales, product management and marketing teams, facilitating the enablement of partner integrations and applications in conjunction with Ansys technologies, and supports joint Go-To-Market (GTM) activities with assigned partners. The ISV Partner Manager will be expected to contribute to the success metrics of the Ansys Technology Partner Program and assigned deliverables to support overall program strategy. Success will be measured by delivering on the agreed-upon goals and metrics of assigned partnerships, driving both short-term and long-term objectives. You will be working closely with other internal stakeholders – including Ansys sales, product, corporate strategy, legal, and marketing teams, as well as Ansys senior management, to ensure success of the partnership(s). 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Provide overall program leadership, guidance, and management across all aspects of the partner lifecycle, including requirements gathering, business case creation & validation, onboarding & management 
•    Define and reinforce Ansys requirements related to assigned partners in alignment with broad categories of internal stakeholders within Ansys
•    Develop and iterate upon appropriate GTM plans in coordination with Ansys business or product requirements
•    In collaboration with marketing, develop collateral such as data sheets, white papers PPTs, PR, sales training materials, etc. as needed
•    Work with partners to develop solutions and workflows that leverage our mutual capabilities to solve customer problems
•    Look for opportunities to expand the partnership(s) to other business areas, industries, geographies in support of Ansys’ growth strategy
•    Prioritize sales and product investments, and measure ROI 
•    Manage partnership to maximize Ansys’ footprint across all elements of the partnership agreement
•    Ensure that effective internal processes and legal frameworks are in place to manage and govern the partnership(s)
•    Represent Ansys as an industry leader with partners, customers, and other audiences
•    Ensure that our partnership program and processes are appropriately visible, managing program level risks and interdependencies
•    Become a trusted advisor of the Ansys sales team, coaching partners on best practices to drive successful joint engagements


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•    Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
•    A minimum of five years of successful B2B partnership experience
•    Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and drive results based on a business plan 
•    Proven track record of solution-based selling (OEM, ISV or direct software, etc.)
•    Ability to lead and assist in business case development between internal stakeholders and partners
•    Experience with successfully negotiating and restructuring complex agreements, including resell, co-sell, and OEM arrangements
•    Understanding of how product management teams operate and make decisions
•    Ability to create a strong network and create connections with key partner stakeholders
•    Ability to work independently, think creatively, work on complex problems and provide out-of-the-box solutions 
•    Provide detailed status updates, raise and resolve issues with urgency
•    Strong attention to detail, entrepreneurial, creative, open-minded, persistent, and collaborative
•    Passionate about technology, partners, and the Ansys business
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous education in a technical, engineering, business or related field with relevant work experience preferred
  • Six or more years of successful B2B partnership experience 
  • Previous work experience with a technology company, cloud business models, cloud technology providers, and SaaS is desirable
  • Work experience in a CAE or product engineering customer facing role is a plus
  • Ability to travel as needed, including internationally
