Summary / Role Purpose

The Travel and Entertainment(“T&E”) Compliance Specialist will participate in the day-to-day operations of the global T&E program.  This includes auditing expense reports in the expense reporting tools, answering employee questions, and troubleshooting employee issues.  The T&E Compliance Specialist will be a point of contact for the T&E process, T&E systems, as well as Global and United States T&E Policies.  The T&E Compliance Specialist will be responsible for assisting the team with key initiatives or ad hoc projects that impact the T&E function.

 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Audit expense reports for compliance with the T&E policy
  • Monitor central T&E email inbox
  • Serve as a point of contact for the Global T&E and United States policies and processes
  • Submit and monitor external tickets with expense reporting tool and travel agency support teams
  • Monitor internal tickets, troubleshoot and resolve technical user errors, field user questions
  • Assist team with ongoing maintenance, deployment, and day-to-day operations of the expense reporting tools
  • Assist team with the administrator of the expense reporting tools, including assistance to our foreign teams
  • Monitor expense reporting tool user profiles by reviewing incoming failures from HR system employee file feed
  • Participate in monthly review of expense reporting tool release notes to determine action items
  • Participate in the recurring expense report tool meetings with expense tool consultant
  • Assist with internal communications on T&E topics, as needed
  • Partner with other team members to host routine trainings for new hires/acquisitions
  • Assist team with key initiatives and implementations to streamline T&E functions, as needed
  • Perform other clerical or accounting tasks as assigned by management

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree (or pursing) in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 1+ years of travel, accounts payable, or business-related experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Commitment to customer service
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and strong computer skills
  • Strong communication skills

 

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • 3 years of travel, accounts payable, or business experience
  • Experience with Concur suite of products preferred
  • Experience with AppZen preferred
  • Experience with Oracle preferred
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting or business concepts
