SUMMARY
An Audio-Visual Collaboration System Engineer will be contributing to the business by providing third-level user support and input to/support of the Ansys global corporate audio-visual collaboration strategy built on the Microsoft Teams Room platform. The System Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing systems to manage and maintain the technology infrastructure to support the audio-visual collaboration strategy, ensuring that technology is highly available and reliable for Ansys users.  The System Engineer will work closely with the operations teams responsible for providing first and second level support and with the IT architecture and management teams, as well as the user base, to define the strategy.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as an escalation for third level support for audio-visual collaboration technology.
  • Design, implement, and maintain management systems to deploy and maintain audio-visual collaboration technology, ensuring the technology is highly available and reliable for end users.  Systems implemented should include as much efficiency and automation as possible for increased scalability.
  • Ensure audio-visual collaboration is appropriately documented in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and define CMDB Audit Tests to ensure the quality of the data in the CMDB.
  • Define technology standards to support the audio-visual collaboration strategy.
  • Provide budget, procurement, and implementation guidance and assistance for the purchase of new audio-visual collaboration technology.
  • Consult on future technology needs and advise on emerging trends the in the audio-visual collaboration domain.
  • Provide consultation and education to all levels of end users on presentation technologies.
  • Provide training and assistance to IT Operations teams to ensure the best possible first and second level support for audio-visual collaboration technology.
  • Lead the process of keeping the audio-visual collaboration strategy updated with key stakeholders: Architecture, Management, End Users, Support

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree Required. 
  • Required 3 years of experience with Information Technology or Audio-Visual Collaboration Technology. 
  • Ability to demonstrate technical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service and communications skills.
  • Demonstrated deep knowledge of the Microsoft Teams platform.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology related field preferred.
  • Preferred 5 years of experience with Information Technology or Audio-Visual Collaboration Technology.
  • Demonstrated examples of IT management systems designed and implemented.
  • Demonstrated examples of use of automation to increase efficiency.
  • Experience working with a global team.
