SUMMARY
The Senior Vendor Analyst is responsible for providing support to the Director of Global Procurement Governance and Strategy will work closely with team members in Procurement, Sourcing and Vendor Relationship Management and FP&A. This role will assist in the analysis and reporting of external spend savings / cost avoidance and support the Procurement teams by creating financial profiles for vendors and spend categories as well as ongoing spend analytics.  Additional responsibilities will include activities associated with ESG reporting relating to vendors and conducting spend trend analysis.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide analytical support in order to manage strategic vendor initiatives and support business decisions
  • Perform detailed financial analyses in the areas of key spend categories and vendors
  • Work closely with FP&A to represent the Procurement function in reporting global savings and cost avoidance
  • Collect and analyze data related to purchases, vendors, spend categories and markets
  • Create financial profiles for partnership vendors
  • Support Procurement negotiators in vendor consolidation efforts by providing ongoing analytics
  • Participate in the development of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting on Procurement performance metrics
  • Perform trend analysis on key spend categories
  • Conduct external benchmarking for key markets and vendors
  • Extract relevant data from multiple databases, analyze problems, determine causes and suggest corrective action
  • Work on special projects and other duties as assigned such as annual ESG Scope 3 reporting

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business or analytical area – but core financial coursework and knowledge is required.
  • 5+ years of data analysis in a finance or operations role
  • Understanding of or direct experience of working with a Procurement function
  • PC Proficiency in Microsoft applications; MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Reporting & Analysis Tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while still meeting project deadlines and commitments.
  • Ability to drive projects to completion in a complex, deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to interface across various levels (analysts and managers), within multiple business units, both domestic and international.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in OBIEE or Oracle preferred.
  • Independent thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Established analytical skill set.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Understanding of software or other technology industry as a business.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
