SUMMARY
The Senior Pricing Analyst is responsible for the analysis, reporting and execution of the pricing strategies in support of each Business Unit and Company pricing financial goals and objectives. The position is responsible for supporting pricing integrity (price accuracy) decision implementation across the entire pricing lifecycle including initial pricing, promotional pricing, and discounting. The Pricing Analyst supports the organization by data mining and presenting those findings as they build corporate strategies. The Senior Pricing Analyst also analyzes and measures customer and product performance versus the competition and overall market.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Develop reports and analysis on pricing, particularly with respect to the effect of pricing changes on sales volume and revenue
•Conduct regional and customer-specific analysis
•Lead management decision making through analysis and process improvement
•Drive special projects involving pricing analysis, such as supporting product management with go to market strategies
•Conduct Price/Volume/Mix, Discounting, and ad hoc analyses as needed by management
•Evaluate market and competitive data to optimally align pricing strategies within the market space
•Develop and oversee promotional pricing programs, including up-front analysis and back-end reporting
•Track the execution of agreed pricing action(s) and recommend pricing moves and competitive response
•Actively participate in coaching and mentoring pricing team members

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics
•A minimum of 6 years of experience in business development, market research & analysis, business strategy, market or pricing analysis or related field with strategic/critical thinking
•Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex data to groups of internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner  
•Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
•Experience with CRM data management and data mining
•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
•Must have ability to synthesize data and information from multiple sources to develop fact-based analyses and recommendations


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Prior experience building pricing models or analyzing promotional programs is beneficial
•Experience in pricing structures, analytics, and pricing practices for SAAS (or XAAS) companies is highly desirable
•MBA, preferably in finance or business analytics 
•Strong project-management and analytical skills
•Experience in the simulation software market and interpreting market trends
