The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the Business Unit FP&A team.


Aggregate large, complex data and design analytical report to drive insights into business performance.


Assist in the development of BU P&L reporting, KPI tracking, variance analysis and forecasting.



  • Analyze financial results, distilling/synthesizing key business metrics and trends to support business unit needs and initiatives.
  • Provide analytical support and detailed financial analyses to drive growth, margin improvement, strategic initiatives and business decisions.
  • Work with business units to translate end-product needs into reports based on the requirements of the internal and/or external clients.
  • Drive the continued development of budgeting, forecasting, planning and modeling tools and processes.
  • Design critical analytical reports and provide ad-hoc data analysis to drive strategic business decisions.
  • Partner with various stakeholders across Ansys including Corp FP&A, Business Intelligence, Sales Ops, Accounting and IT.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or a quantitative discipline.
  • Advanced degree or professional qualification such as MBA, CPA, CMA or CFA is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A.
  • Demonstrated excellence in business analytics and tools. Exceptional Excel skills is a must. System experience such as Oracle Financials, Salesforce, Snowflake and Alteryx highly desirable.
  • Understanding of SaaS, software or other technology industry highly desirable.
  • Understanding of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently and independently while still meeting deadlines and commitments.
  • Ability to interface across various levels (analysts, managers, executives), within multiple business units, both domestic and international.
  • Attention to details and accuracy.
