The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the Business Unit FP&A team.

Aggregate large, complex data and design analytical reports to drive insights into business performance.

Assist in the development of BU P&L reporting, KPI tracking, variance analysis, planning and forecasting.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial results, distilling/synthesizing key business metrics and trends to support business unit needs and initiatives.
  • Work with business units to define/design both standard and ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure accuracy of data and timely delivery of insightful reporting and analyses on weekly/monthly/quarterly cadence.
  • Improve data quality and drive automation and innovation in the reporting process.
  • Build and maintain Alteryx workflows for data cleansing, recurring reports, ad hoc requests, and in-depth analysis.
  • Drive the continued development of budgeting, forecasting, planning and modeling tools and processes.
  • Partner with various stakeholders across Ansys including Corp FP&A, Business Intelligence, Sales, Marketing, Accounting and IT.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or a quantitative discipline.
  • Advanced degree or professional qualification such as MBA, CPA, CMA or CFA is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A or other analytical functions.
  • Experience working with large set of data and building financial models and reports.
  • Demonstrated excellence in business analytics and tools. Exceptional Excel skills is a must. System experience such as Oracle Financials, Salesforce, Snowflake and PowerBI highly desirable.
  • Alteryx core certification highly desirable.
  • Understanding of SaaS, software or other technology industry highly desirable.
  • Understanding of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects/deliverables concurrently and independently while still meeting deadlines and commitments.
  • Ability to interface across various levels (analysts, managers, executives), within multiple business units, both domestic and international.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. Able to trouble shot and find solutions to complex problems.
  • Attention to details and accuracy.
