SUMMARY
The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for the security related DevOps activities of one or more software products and supporting systems. In this role, the Senior DevOps Engineer will use advanced technical and problem-solving skills to help the team tackle complex issues, satisfy customer requirements, and accomplish secure development objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs analysis of the secure development environment for technical and process improvements (e.g., integration of security measures, faster security and software updates, improved automation, reduced glitches, and software failures, etc.)
• Collaborates with other engineers to plan, design and develop the secure development environment that includes cohesive CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborates with development teams on projects that may involve restructuring code and/or significant changes to the developer experience
• Employs best practices and helps to maintain them through technical reviews
• Anticipates future needs and technology evolution and proposes and participates in implementation of new solutions
   

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5 years’ experience, MS with 3 years’ experience, or PhD with 1 year experience
• At least 2 years of experience with source code version tools and/or automated continuous integration software
• At least 2 years of experience working with automated SAST and SCA scanning tools such as Coverity and FlexNet Code Insight
• At least 2 years of experience with Python, Perl or other scripting language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience integrating security tools within CI/CD models
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Jenkins, Git
• Thorough knowledge of software development tools, compilers, and packaging software
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team
