SUMMARY

ANSYS, Inc. seeks Senior Data Developer to work in Canonsburg, PA and various unanticipated locations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, design, develop, implement, and support databases and database applications used by ANSYS business units.
  • Provide development best-practices, education, and training expertise to business and IT staff.
  • Collaborate with business areas in the development of data components and applications that align with the ANSYS data strategy and data portfolio.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain components and applications that align with the ANSYS data strategy and drive implementation of enterprise data architecture and data integration standards.
  • Apply data warehouse, operational data store, business intelligence, and master data management design patterns and implementation techniques.
  • Develop specifications and requirements for data to improve the performance, usability and effectiveness of system interfaces.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to coordinate implementation of the data strategy and data architecture and maximize the value of information across the organization.
  • Collaborate with other IT functions to design and implement solutions for complex problems and understand end-to-end business processes.
  • Document processes and procedures that contribute to ANSYS data best practices and standards.
  • Collaborate in designing and developing integration solutions and data migration strategies

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field of study.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in a related position.
  • Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
    • Oracle (10/g/11g/12c) and SQL Server (2012/2014/2016) database technology;
    • Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server T-SQL;
    • experience developing Oracle Applications modules including E-Business Systems, Oracle Financials, or Siebel;
    • programming languages and development tools Java, .Net, XML, TOAD, as well as Extract Transform and Load (ETL) tools;
    • experience with enterprise reporting, visualization, and dashboard tools Tableau or Microsoft PowerBI;
    • systems database administration experience in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server;
    • experience working in on-premise, cloud, or hybrid data environments;
    • and experience using Agile development.
