SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Senior Release Engineer for our Commercial Applications team. Ansys is building a multi-cloud Salesforce solution to manage over $1.2B in revenue and offer our customers a modern platform to interact with our teams, use our software, and obtain support.

 

The Senior Release Engineer will partner with the Salesforce development and QA teams to make sure they have a clear path and process for testing and deploying in the Salesforce platform. She or he will deploy industry best practices for managing a release process that meets the demand of a multi-cloud and worldwide Salesforce implementation.

 

The successful candidate will have a record of success in managing and improving Salesforce release processes in partnership with Solutions Architects and Product Owners in an Agile Scrum environment.

 

This position can sit remote anywhere in the US. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand product roadmaps and identify environment dependencies and alignments
  • Plan, manage and execute scheduled Salesforce application releases end-to-end using Copado
  • Own the provisioning of sandbox environments for a Sprint/Project, which includes setting up of Salesforce Orgs and its integrations such as Adobe Experience Manager, Pardot, or Siebel CRM
  • Communicate the Dev Ops schedule and activities to the Scrum/Project Teams
  • Work with the development teams to resolve merge conflicts and deployment errors
  • Prepare and manage the Production Deployment Plan
  • Coordinate code merges across multiple Salesforce Orgs.
  • Manage complex release builds and DevOps pipelines in Copado
  • Manage code branches, including archiving
  • Perform package comparison and merge analysis, ensuring code coverage
  • Manage Salesforce sandboxes, refreshes, and upgrades
  • Establish and drive compliance with CI/CD best practices within the Salesforce environment
  • Manage reports on release progress and communicate overall DevOps performance
  • Define Release readiness criteria to ensure all changes meet criteria prior to deployment
  • Knowledge of resolving merge conflicts and deployment error

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or engineering
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in key Salesforce.com capabilities, including a Salesforce developer experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Salesforce production configuration management
  • Experience with version control software (Git)
  • Experience with Copado and Salesforce ALM tools

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Salesforce Application, Developer, or System certifications
  • Experience with Agile Scrum cycles and tools (with Azure DevOps or Jira)
  • Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced tech company, preferably in the Software industry
