Summary / Role Purpose

​The Regional Sales Manager, AR Team role is responsible for maximizing the company revenues through the direction of a remote sales team.  The RSMR directs the learning activities of a remote sales team and defines a training curriculum. The RSMR is responsible to partner with sales leaders on the direction of the sales representatives in their assigned territories and accounts to achieve or exceed assigned quota.  Additionally, manage relationships and performance of channel partners.  A successful Regional Sales Manager is an excellent people leader, coach and sales professional who continuously builds high performing representatives that seamlessly advance throughout the Ansys organization.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees a team of remote sales representatives assigned to a territory, channel partner and/or strategic account who are charged with bringing in new business against revenue targets.
  • Recruit, coach, develop and motivate a team of remote sales representatives to become top achievers and future leaders.
  • Executes sales training curriculum for all new remote sales representatives with a continuous improvement approach incorporating new methods, products and strategies.
  • Exceed monthly sales team quotas and successfully complete all activities that drive revenue generation.
  • Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams​.
  • Help the team establish and maintain a targeted understanding of a customers’ business, showing the ability to establish customer needs, buying process, and creating strong relationships to effectively drive sales and repeat business.
  • Support Sales Team by assisting them in closing deals.
  • Coordinates appropriate company resources to ensure efficient and consistent sales​.
  • Educates field sales in terms of sales techniques and tactics​.
  • Establishes and manages effective programs and seminars to address the following issues:​
    • New account sales and field sales growth​
    • Growth in existing ELA customers​
    • Enhancement of field sales and inside sales revenues​
    • Sales of emerging products/services​
    • Pro-active competitive strategies and targeted sales campaigns​
    • Proper use and level of sales support​
    • Business/financial issues on contracts

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Education & Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree in technical, engineering, business or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience OR 9+ years of experience demonstrated success in technical sales positions.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and ability to motivate and inspire a team​.
  • Ability to forecast, estimate revenue and profit trends​.
  • Prior experience in hosting trainings and educating.
  • Fluent in English and in the local language of the territory
  • Travel: up to 50%

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Master’s degree or MBA ​
  • Management experience​
  • High level of knowledge of company's products/services, pricing practices, and selling skills.
