SUMMARY
ANSYS, Inc. seeks R&D Engineer II to work in Canonsburg, PA
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The R&D Engineer II will contribute to the development of software products and supporting systems.
- Will collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and accomplish development objectives.
- Perform moderately complex development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems.
- Understands and employs best practices.
- Perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
- Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions.
- Understand the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues Work under the general supervision of a development manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science or a related field of study.
- Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science or a related field of study, and 2 (two) years of experience in a related position.
- Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
- Experience with TypeScript, C++, and Full-stack development;
- Experience with Object-oriented design, build and test automation, End-to-End (E2E) Testing, API Design, and Development and Integration;
- Experience Backend Development;
- Experience with Cloud-Native Development and Deployment;
- Experience with Cross-platform Application Development;
- Experience with asynchronous programing
- Additional work location information: May permit telecommuting within commuting distance to Canonsburg, PA. In office 3 days a week.
