SUMMARY 

The Software Developer I role will help design and implement new features within the ANSYS Simulation Process & Data Management application. The position requires participation as a member of product teams made up of developers, testers, writers, and product managers. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development of new product features 

  • Performing complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support 

  • Help with new product features and requirements 

  • Developing and employing best software practices, and maintaining them through design review and code review 

  • Works independently with minimal supervision 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • B.S. Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

  • Developing front end website architecture and/or developing back end website applications 

  • Ability to work well with others in a diverse team environment

  • Ability to complete high quality work on schedule 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • At least 1 year of experience in designing and developing technical software applications

  • Experience with any Javascript frameworks like Angular 2 or React 

  • Experience with .NET (C#) 

  • Familiarity with database technology such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MongoDB

  • Experience or familiarity with GIT 

  • Experience with a continuous integration system like Azure Devops 

  • Experience with build/packaging tools like Ansible is a plus

  • Experience developing and debugging on Windows and/or Linux

  • Familiarity with the entire development process, including specification, documentation, quality assurance, and use of software engineering tools

  • Strong technical knowledge in software development methodologies with experience in project planning and implementation. Ability to complete high quality work on schedule 

  • Good communications and interpersonal skills
