Summary / Role Purpose

The Program Manager Marketplace R&D joins the CSEBU to supervise and ensure the proper execution of major Ansys applications in the cloud hyperscaler space, such as Ansys Gateway powered by AWS or Ansys Access powered by Azure. This role is responsible for coordinating across BU and department the overall execution of multi-moving parts projects. He/she has the responsibility to ensure progress tracking of all projects and activities performed by the members of the extended team(s) and to coordinate the communication with external and internal partners. The Program Manager Marketplace R&D will collaborate with development, DevOps and testing managers on the development, implementation, and integration of our quality assurance practices. He/she will report into the development organization to the Product Development Director and will present progress status to Ansys leadership on strategic project.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the on-time completion of projects assigned to team while meeting the corporate quality standards
  • Ensure that project monitoring artefacts are maintained and updated
  • Report on issues and risks and coordinate on risks mitigation with Business Unit stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain healthy relationship across the board of business units by having an open and honest communication on status (success and issues)
  • Organize and track technical communication and deliverables in the context of strategic cloud partnerships
  • Coordinate and support product integration activities across business units


Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study with 12 years’ experience, MS with 10 years’ experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management
  • Commercial experience with Ansys products
  • Commercial experience with major Cloud Service Providers (understanding of ecosystem and application release process)
  • Demonstrated leadership with a proven track record of successful project achievement 
  • Talented coordinator and excellent communication skills are mandatory
  • Significant experience integrating software delivery project


Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience leading technical efforts to deliver solutions that advance large-scale commercial products
  • Proven ability to coordinate work across boundaries of department and/or hierarchy
  • Ability to convey complex information in a clear way to stakeholders and development teams
  • Ability to drive success across teams and geographies, and to mentor others 
  • PMI certification would be a plus
