Summary and Role Purpose


The Marketing Coordinator Academic and Startup Programs is responsible for assisting with the marketing of these programs at Ansys, with a specific focus on social media content, content marketing, public relations, field marketing, sales enablement collateral, and data input and analysis. Both programs are focused on lowering the barrier to entry of using simulation and are focused on Ansys’ future success.

Key Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Support Ansys Academic and Startup marketing initiatives with the planning, executing, and tracking of marketing programs such as email, event, social media, or content marketing which may include any of the following:
    • Independently coordinate marketing events that support our field sales teams, including overseeing logistics, managing registrations, coordinating with vendors, creating itineraries, and planning/ordering marketing collateral
    • Coordinate product, event, or content email marketing campaigns, including copy, scheduling, testing, and database management
    • Create and schedule relevant content to represent both programs to drive interest on social media channels
    • Work with field sales to identify customer references to be interviewed for blogs and public relations efforts and work with respective teams to execute
    • Evaluate and monitor digital marketing campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and creating comprehensive reports
    • Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing programs, and to ensure competitiveness
    • Support data input and analysis for key program metrics
  • Work on various broader marketing projects with the various marketing teams across Corporate Marketing where the Academic and Startup Programs can have representation to strengthen the overall project goal while promoting the programs
  • Build strong relationships with our content, digital marketing, public relations and creative marketing teams to understand alignment on goals and create stronger representation of both programs where opportunity exists
  • Maintain consistent communication with our field sales teams to understand collateral needs and support the creation and execution based on needs


Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or closely related field or equivalent experience in a marketing coordinator role
  • Prior internship or coordinator experience is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
  • Time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude


Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience working with marketing-related software (ex. Cision, Vocus and PR Newswire) preferred
  • Prior experience working in a technical business setting with engineers or in engineering simulation a plus
  • At least 3 years experience with demonstrated success is preferred
  • Experience working with diverse cross-cultural and cross-discipline teams
  • Experience with managing large volume of project requests
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Familiarity with digital and web-based development processes
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite
