Summary / Role Purpose

The Manager Global Compensation serves as the functional manager and internal consultant responsible for managing the broad-based compensation (i.e., salary, cash and equity incentives and administration, and recognition awards) design, compliance, implementation, communication and administration of the Company’s compensation structure and recognition programs, globally.  Additionally, the Manager Global Compensation may assist in executive compensation structure development and analyses and negotiates financial arrangements and manages vendor relationships to ensure the best service and programs for the Company and its employees. This position supports the evaluation and integration of the compensation and recognition programs of newly acquired companies into the Company’s programs including analysis and communications and supports the preparation of Compensation Committee materials.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide market competitive insights, management and oversight of global compensation structure and recognition programs
  • Manage the design, implementation and communication of employee and executive compensation structures and incentive plans, initiatives and key projects to ensure programs are aligned with business objectives and compliant with governing regulations  
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of ANSYS’ compensation assessment and administration to drive efficient and cost-effective operational practices
  • Partner with HRIS to ensure compensation structure and data integrity within the compensation module and support compensation workforce analytics 
  • Manage vendor performance and resolves escalated operational issues to ensure that employees and internal clients are receiving a high level of customer service and satisfaction  
  • Manage communications strategy and plans to improve on-boarding, employee awareness, understanding and appreciation of the compensation programs  
  • Participate in M&A activities as needed throughout the due diligence process and the transitioning of employees 
  • Support the preparation of materials for the Compensation Committee meetings 
  • Prepare materials, systems and reporting to facilitate the annual compensation review and recommendations cycle by preparing and partnering with the HRIS and HRBPs 
  • Provide advice and direction to regional HRBPs and Country HR Managers on country compensation practices, competitiveness and cost effectiveness to balance business needs and employee relations concerns by utilizing third-party compensation surveys 
  • Participate in special projects and/or ad-hoc requests as they arise, including process and procedural reviews and other enhancements


Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience managing a compensation function
  • Experience working with International compensation programs 
  • Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations and legislation related to employee compensation
  • Understanding of the accounting implications for compensation changes or additions 
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communications
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality


Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
  • Utilize surveys and other market data to assess and make recommendations
  • Build compensation structures
  • Design incentive short-term cash and long-term equity incentive plans
  • General financial and legal acumen regarding global compensation design
  • Experience with SuccessFactors as well as third-party compensation survey tools
  • Oral Communication - Listens and gets clarification.  Responds well to questions.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
