Summary and Role Purpose

The Digital Marketing Center of Excellence team at ANSYS leverages world-class marketing technologies, data-driven insights, and exemplary teamwork to shape the digital look and feel of our client facing experiences. The Digital Marketing team is looking for a Paid Media Intern to help with media planning, buying, and reporting on advertising campaigns. This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained experience in digital paid media!


This is a 15-20-hour per week paid position starting August 2022 and concluding in December.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

Design, execute and maintain ROI-focused paid media campaigns – In this role, you will help drive growth and success with the day-to-day management of paid digital marketing campaigns across paid search, display and direct buys through trade magazines and new channels.

  • Research industry media by collecting media kits and finding new opportunities for growth
  • Learn how Ansys ensures proper ad campaign tracking and assist the team with creation of UTM and CRM campaign IDs
  • Learn the different ad platforms like Google Ads, Bing Ads, Yahoo! Japan, TradeDesk, and more
  • Perform ad account audits to help us maximize our ad spend
  • Assist in generating weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc performance reports
  • Deploy A/B testing alongside the rest of the paid team and learn how to report back on results
  • Perform competitive research in the paid media space 
  • All other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • University student pursuing a degree in marketing, advertising, digital marketing or related fields with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Basic understanding of advertising campaigns and various tactics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Prior experience or good working knowledge of advertising campaigns and the various tactics needed to execute a plus.
  • Agency experience a plus but not necessary
  • Travel as required (approximately >20% depending on geography and market needs).
